Dbanj didnt fail actually. He has never been an actor or even good in faking acting. |

From the discussions above, you'll know those who have spent their entire lives in nollywood. Kai! You expect d'banj to act fela in britain, arguing with his father, in prison, fighting obj, giving an interview, crying over the death of his mother etc. Haba! Acting is make believe not fake belief. Spend time watching good international movies. Feel the emotion and ask yourself he d'banj can meet up. |

Dbanj would have been the right choice. All he needs is just a little grooming on acting. Infact, anybody can act. It's just a matter of him (dbanj ) acting as if he is fela. Also, Dbanj's voice is somewhat like fela's so he would certainly have been the right choice |

tosag: your opinion is very flawed because Dbanj has no ounce of talent. |

No be that guy why dey jump about the stage like Igala, shio Remember this is not Nollywood oooooo, this really Broadway blockbuster. |

I like Chiwetel's acting; I think he is one of the very best actors of Nigerian progeny. It really would have been a disservice to Fela for D'banj to play the role. Since Chiwetel grew up in London, am sure he picked up some Yoruba. So good on him for the part! |

Thought I should mention that Fela won three Tonys including the best choreographer for its director- Bill T. Jones. I actually watched the show on Brodaway last Friday evening and it was electric and energetic. The hall was packed full with about 60-70% whites, which is remarkable. It felt good to be a Nigerian and realise that music was mightier than the soldiers' guns and that Fela is bigger than all our oppressors and acting tin-gods |

Good choice. Much respect to D'banj but the movie producers want a blockbuster. |

Chiwetel is a really good choice, and he even has a certain resemblance. D'Banj ke, somebody must be kidding me. |
