Job description

Operate boilers to ensure safe generation of steam levels

Check operating parameters of the boilers

Document level of water and fuel usage to keep track of daily consumption

Carry out preventive maintenance and troubleshooting

Complies with health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures and performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment.

Schedules work requirements and personnel resources to ensure the 24/7 operation of assigned Boiler Plants.

Keeps current on relevant knowledge and industry practices of utility systems and provides employees with direction on procedures, policies, instructions, technical orders and manufacturer’s manuals.


Requirements

Minimum Five (5) years experience in operating utility systems

Extensive knowledge of boiler repair, high-pressure inspection, boiler water chemistry, boiler fuel operations.

OND or HND its equivalent in any field

Ability to work in a team

Ability to ascend/descend a ladder
