Lagos Business School (LBS) has been ranked among the top 50 business schools on The Economist magazine’s 2018 EMBA ranking. The LBS Executive MBA programme ranks as 48th best in the world out of 65 schools featured on the list published today.

The Economist’s EMBA ranking is a bi-annual list of the best providers of the Executive MBA programme across the world, and they are categorised based on two broad measures: personal development/educational experience and career development.

Being the only business school in Africa to feature in this year’s ranking, LBS was judged by the quality of its EMBA participants, their work experience, the number of industry sectors from which they applied, their career progression, the quality of faculty, percentage of faculty with a PhD, among other criteria.

For the category judged on percentage increase on pre-EMBA salary on graduation, Lagos Business School interestingly occupies the 3rd position in the world. LBS EMBA graduates record a considerable increase in remuneration upon graduation from the programme

Lagos Business School MBA Director, Dr Uchenna Uzo, described the achievement as proof that the School has not deviated from its mission to provide high potential professionals with world-class management education.

Uzo added, “Our work here at LBS is being recognised across the globe, and we are committed to doing even more to transform business education and management practice in Africa and beyond by producing quality graduates who will change the status quo”.

Other top institutions featured on the list are Yale School of Management, IE Business School and Arizona State University with whom Lagos Business School has just entered into a partnership for the International Accelerated Degree Programme (IADP).

This latest achievement follows Lagos Business School’s recent feature on the Financial Times 2018 ranking of top business schools for the 12th consecutive year and its full-time MBA programme’s appearance on CEO Magazine’s Global MBA rankings as a Tier One programme.
