Then in the University of Ibadan, there were wealthy students associating with the colonial powers, and there were few poorer students striving for social relevance. With six other students from diverse tribes, Wole Soyinka formed Pyrate Confraternity. They fought against corruption, and sought justice for the student’s organization.
