Meanwhile, Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state has accused the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) of hijacking the ongoing gubernatorial election in the state.

The governor made the accusation on Saturday, July 14, shortly after casting his vote at his Afao ward unit, Vanguard reports.

He also alleged that majority of his staff have been detained by the police and that security agencies had taken over the responsibility of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
