dealing with HP is relatively easy. their website have almost all the help you'll need. you didnt tell us your operating and EXACT HP model with are important for this issure. but i feel it's just a sound driver that you need to install which you'll find on the Compaq/HP site. |

 You have to first install MUAA then it bring out your conexant sound driver and modem. You can equally download it from HP site. Hope you will be ok with this. |

Installing audio and modem drivers directly for HD audio adapters won't work, as @cemapog said you'll need to install the UAA drivers before installing the HP530 audio drivers. |
