There is no where in the bible it is written that God is against politics.

Definition of politics The activities associated with the governance of a country or area.
Some ignorant folks would say that Jesus did not tell his disciples to participate in politics. What these folks don't understand is that the government in that period was dictatorship. Therefore ,there were fewer chances to influence politics in a dictatorship.

We should be careful about false teachers who can quote a bible verse and turn it upside down with ridiculous misinterpretations.

Here are some reasons why Christians need to be in politics.

Voting for your values
We are in a democratic system in Nigeria, therefore voting counts. If Christians stay away from politics, then gay marriage, abortion etc will be legalized. You want a society that does not encourage insane behaviour? Then get involved in politics.

Getting a good leadership
God will not send an angel from heaven to rule over you. If you remain silent, others who choose those that will rule over you.

Take a look at Genesis 1:28 Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.”
God clearly told us to subdue/dominate/govern the earth Ignoring politics is limiting your impact on the world. Dominate with no exception.

Jesus was in support of payment of tax Jesus told us to pay our taxes to the government. If government is from devil, why should Jesus tell us to pay taxes to government? If you pay taxes, then you ought to hold those in government accountable on how they use the resources. You can only do this be getting involved in politics.

To save your people Esther and Mordecai were instrumental in saving the Israelites. You can compare them with representatives. If Esther was silent, her people would have perished. Her becoming a queen made her part of the government. Queens can influence some decisions taken by a government.
