German and Arsenal play maker Mesut Ozil has confirmed that he is retiring from international football with immediate effect following the "treatment he received from the president of DFB."
The Arsenal attacking midfielder claims that the German football association has mal treated him and that makes him "no longer want to wear the German national team shirt."
The Germany midfielder made the announcement on Sunday evening. He went on to let the Germans know that The DFB is full of "racism and disrespect" following his high-profile and controversial meeting with Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan before the summer World Cup at Russia.
