History and experience has proved that we will continue to get it wrong in the Senatorial Elections if we continue to field candidates on sentiment rather than on capability and capacity.

Those of us who have been in the party for many years now knows that we have not been sincere with ourselves for the past years with the caliber of people we present as APGA candidates during previous Senatorial elections.

Lets take Anambra South Senatorial Zone as a study case.

Sometime ago, the APGA Senatorial ticket for Anambra South was given to Hon Azuka Okwusa because he was anointed then by Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu. After the election, it was clear to every Tom, Dick and Harry that the election was rigged against APGA Candidate, the party leadership, after gathering all their facts and figures, and was ready to go and challenge the result at the Election Tribunal, all of a sudden, our candidate chickened out because he doesn’t have the capacity and capability to defend his mandate.

The next four years, when it was time for another Senatorial election, Chief Chuma Nzeribe was given the APGA ticket because he was anointed by the then State Governor, Chief Peter Obi. After the election, reports from various wards and collection agents showed that APGA candidate won the Senatorial election but INEC returned one Dr. Andy Ubah as duly elected Senator for the zone, despite the amount and concrete evidence at our disposal then, our candidate was not able to recover his mandate even when a re-run was ordered by INEC, because capacity and capability to do so was not there.

Then just of recent, Chief Ernest Ndukwe was given the APGA Senatorial ticket for the same zone, because he was endorsed by the State Governor, Chief Dr Willie Obiano. It was obvious and (even clearer than 7up) that APGA won the election, but the mandate was stolen from us again, because our candidate does not have the capacity and capability to challenge the PDP’s candidate, Dr Andy Ubah. (We must not also be in a haste to forget how Ugochukwu Ubah stole the Senatorial mandate given to Nicholas Ukachukwu, though they are both in PDP then, it also boiled down to Ikukuoma’s incapability to defend his mandate).

The gospel truth is that nobody can win a National Assembly Election in Anambra South Senatorial Zone with fund raised through contributions (EGO NTUKO TA), past experiences has proved that to be impossible.

Every four years our party faithfuls will labour under rain and shine campaigning for our party's Candidates, and will do everything humanly possible on Election day to make sure our Candidates got the highest number of votes cast, at the end of it all, the so called anointed or endorsed Candidate won't be able to defend or reclaim the mandate, because of lack of capacity and capability.

During the 2015 Elections, some of our die hard and loyal APGA faithfuls suffered one kind of persecution and assault or the other just to make sure that our Candidates emerged victorious, but despite all these risk taken by them, none of our National Assembly Candidates was able to defend or reclaim the mandate, because of lack of capacity and ability to do so.

Umunnem ndi APGA, come 2019, we must all rise with one voice and say ‘ENOUGH IS ENOUGH’. The party should stop this COMPENSATIONS and SENTIMENTS stuff. Let the party look inward and discover among our numerous aspirants, the one with enough capacity and capability to CHALLENGE, WIN and DEFEND our mandate against other parties.
And the only person that comes in mind, is the APOSTLE AND THE FORCE BEHIND ‘AFA IGBO EFUNA PROJECT, CHIEF DR PATRICK IFEANYI UBAH, IFE IGBO JI KA MBA, EBUBECHUKWU UZO GLOBAL’.
He is another IKEMBA and OHAMADIKE In terms of action and capacity. Senator Victor Umeh (OHAMADIKE), a replica of Ifeanyi Ubah was the only APGA Senatorial Candidate that recovered his stolen mandate from the PDP because he has the capacity and capability. (NO BE MOUTH)

Anambra South Senatorial Zone must have a strong voice at the Senate this time around through APGA.
