The Student's' Union Government of Alex Ekwume Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State has disassociated itself from the 7-day ultimatum issued by NANS, Ebonyi State chapter in respect to the security levy of the institution.

This was made known today by the President, Comrade Njoku Francis when he led other members of the Union executive to meet with the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Chinedum Nwajiuba.

He noted that NANS did not consult the union before making their threat, adding that the internal dispute resolution mechanism has not been exhausted before the ultimatum.

He added that the Union would continue to engage the university management constructively, warning the NANS executive to stay clear of the university as the students were seriously engaged in their academic activities and would not like any external force to disrupt it.
