Brazil Coach Tite has signed a new four-year contract deal with the five time World Champions. Tite was hired back in 2016 after winning two titles, a Copa Libertadores and a World Club Cup while coaching Corinthians. His new four-year contract deal keeps him with the Brazil national team until after the 2022 World Cup In Qatar. Tite led Brazil to the 2018 World Cup but were eliminated in the quarter-finals by Belgium. The 57-year old described the role as"a great challenge" that he is "happy to face". "The federation has given us the conditions to build an environment of unity and professionalism It's a great challenge and we are happy to face it, already focused on our next matches and competitions," Tite said in a statement. The Brazilian Football Confederation(CBF) has said it is "investing in a long-term project" and has also extended the contract of former Arsenal midfielder Edu, who acts as the team's general manager. Up next for Brazil is a friendly match against USA in September. Brazil's next big tournament is the 2019 Copa America, an event the country will host.
