Satan telling Jesus to turn stones into bread
knowing that he was hungry cos he is fasting.
That's temptation, and thank God she scale over it.

gReenmAn:

Wayyy too many holes in this story as already pointed out by many.

Question:
Why would any serious company -identity conveniently missing in this case- make any serious offer to an artiste via her Facebook Fan Page?!

That is ludicrous at best.
This is simply a lame attempt to hype the unknown act.
gbam!!!

I don't know her and Im just hearing about her for the first time here but what I wanna say is, 1. It sould be someone trying to make us know her by creating an awareness with this story, 2. The Liquor whatever may want to bring her into limelight after discovering her by inviting her to endorse their roduct but this has turned awry.
Anyways, if this story is correct, I say i like her courage for turning down the contract irrespective of how much its worth!

Meanwhile, I find the last paragraph of that post very insulting. The poster should mind how he puts his thoughts down in writing.

Except the liquor company is "Alomo Bitters" or "Shepkpe Inc.". A grown company approaching a very unknown artiste is not my idea of endorsement or advert. Facebook fan page to get a deal? How dumb do people thing we are? This is cheap publicity at best and surely a hoax. My question for her: if opportuned to compete, will she take part in star quest or benson & hedges golden tunes?
Plenty nonsense!!! cool
Re: Gospel Artiste Rejects Multi-million Naira Liquor Deal by Blazing99: 2:55pm On Jun 21, 2010
She's simply trying to prove that she's into gospel music for the love of it not for the money. She also deems it right that as a gospel artist she should reflect the morals of Christianity and act as a role model by practicing what she preaches. This is impressive from her. Someone like Sammy Okposo would will to get such an offer.
Re: Gospel Artiste Rejects Multi-million Naira Liquor Deal by softgirl1: 4:47pm On Jun 21, 2010
why will they even call a Gosple singer for that kind of a deal when there other worldly singers out there that will die for that kind of offer?? big temptation
Re: Gospel Artiste Rejects Multi-million Naira Liquor Deal by skalamanga: 5:03pm On Jun 21, 2010
guys,
this is way too cheap a publicity scam. try visiting her fb page and see her 'band'
no way she is in that league that would be sought after for endorsements. funny still, her fb page just seem to be buzzing with recent posts commenting her for the bold move,

Make she go siddon jor. angry Even the Bible admonishes that moderate use of wine (alcohol, as the case may be) is beneficial for the merriment of the heart and relaxation of sick minds. The only problem is the excessive abuse of it, in which case could be disastrous to one's health, and by implication, a sin. If she ever got such a deal and turned it down, then she just tried to play "Saint". So, if Coca-cola offered her a deal, she'd take it, believing that it was ok. Maybe she'd have forgotten that sugar in the so-called soft drinks cause equal damage to health by way of Diabetes. I think she should redefine her principles !!!

Bros at least she has the guts to stand for her faith. What do you stand for.The greatest problem with the gospel today is when people try and look for situations and examples to back up themselves.Remember that as christians we are supposed to be ambassadors of the kingdom of God.What kind of ambassador would she be by branding for a liquor company

Did Jesus Christ brand himself an ambassador of a liquor company after he turned water to wine? As Christians, we should appreciate the things God has created for us to enjoy; even Jesus understood the importance of enjoyment and merriment, and he turned water to wine. He could have as well turned water to 'zobo' or ice-cream, but He chose to turn it to wine. Maybe if we put hypocrisy aside, we'd understand that God has created all things for saw that they were GOOD. As free moral agents, what we decide to do with alcohol is completely our individual choices and not that of God who created it. Bottomline- Alcohol is good and beneficial, but the abuse of alcohol is wrong, bad and a threat to health. Cest fin.

it is rare to have people like these around. it's only in nigeria that u'll see a gospel artiste featuring a secular artiste, some gospel artistes turn secular after having a big break (e.g kc presh) some so-called gospel artistes would have jumped at this on a half chance( i trust KSB), i know God will favour her for rejecting such.

While you guyz busy yourselves arguing endlessly about the propriety of what this Deola person did, I want you guyz to spare a thought as to the intentions of Deola herself.
Well, I went to her fB fanclub, tried everything possible to add myself to her fb fanbase but to no avail, then I decided to do some digging coz I know this whole story smells of gimmick.
First I checked on the person that posted the story on Fb, surprisingly it was not the Deola herself, it was one Osaramen James Jayaim Ei. Looked the youngman's info:

I had my suspicions, Bawomola was the first person to show the absurdity in a liquor Comp seeking for an unknown Gospel Artiste to endorse its product. Then I further punch more holes in their claims by pointing out to the fact that both the Liquor company's name and the exact amount claimed were deliberately not mentioned, Why? The answer is right in my palms, Deola and her manager cooked this whole story up to gather both attention and more fans. Deolo Ogunsanya is a big Fraud! God help her I eventually find my way to her friend list or fan base, I will expose the bloody Liar!

A fast rising Nigerian Female Gospel Artiste named 'Deola rejected a multi-million naira worth brand deal with a Nigeria based Liquor company recently.

According to a very reliable source, 'Deola refused to be part of the company's advert and also be used to promote their brand of liquor produced by the said company.

We further learnt that 'Deola who also starred as "Sandra" in the Soap VICTIMS currently showing on TV  was contacted by the company online through her Facebook Fan Page(www.facebook.com/deolaogunsanya) and got interested in her for the said deal only for her to reject the multi-million Naira worth deal.

When contacted through her Manager, the story was confirmed and the Manager has this to say when asked why such a deal was rejected talking about the worth of the deal;"'Deola is a Gospel Artiste and it will be definately be out of focus for a Gospel Artiste like 'Deola to forget the brand she is representing and go with a conflicting brand like that of a liquor company. She is focused to remain strictly Gospel. If it were to be for a soft drink deal, she would have considered the offer."

Her Manager further said that he does not see the offer as a temptation to shift focus being strictly Gospel as 'Deola will never confuse her brand as a Gospel Artiste as it is with the norms of some Gospel Artistes.

It would be recalled that a Female Gospel Artiste also recently rejected performing at an Idol festival. How long will they resists all these temptations? Will they continue to be like Jesus Christ in that bible? Only time will tell.

. . Young man, you are not the only one that has been doing his work fine, I also ve been doing my homework on you and that fake story you are peddling here and on FB. . You and that Deola are Rogues, you manage the rogue artiste and decided to create a buzz around by cooking up stories. You think we are fools? How come it was james that posted thesame story on FB and NL, you deliberately chose not to mention the amount or the Liquor company's name. You have only 4 postings on NL and they are all threads you created on this same topic in different sections. Damn! You almost got me singing your praises but I am smarter than you. . Lol. . Are you not thesame Osareme James that posted this same topic on FB? In your FB Info, You claim to manage artistes and in your own word, your company is an artiste mgt company owned by God through. . .oh yeah, the lord is good, esp with you and that Rogue Deola smiling to the bank with our cash.
Guyz, see his full info:

@rhymz

I really appreciate your search for the truth. I will not want to pretend not to have read your reply to the post made here. i will want you to know that the said story was culled by me from http://www.campussensations.com//viewarticle.php?article=61&tval=Your+Gist%2FEvent+has+been+submited. I only read the story there and for the fact that i wanted people to learn from what 'Deola in the said story, i had to post it here. My mistake might have been not to have indicated that the story was culled from the above site which i will admit to.

I do not think 'Deola will cook up a story to make more Fan Base as she is always on Air with her Soap VICTIMS showing every week three times in two Different stations(GALAXY TV on weds and thurs and GTV on Mon) which should could put her fan page on the programme on TV.

As far as i know, i have met her on many Shows across Nigeria.

Please do not give people false info and impression that she needs publicity.
I will never come here to give false news story as i was never trained in school to do that.

Thanks and God bless.

I am so happy that inspite of the numerous issues and inconsistencies raised about this story, you never thought it important to join issues with anyone by answering them but the moment I went to the core of the matter and exposed your antics, you are up in arms with a swift response and even gave us a source. . Lol. . Funny enough, you are trying to feign good morals and decency to cover up your Hoax.
Anyway, I am not going to ask the already obvious issues ( the inconsistencies and absurd rationale behind the claims of the story) raised in relation to the story because as far as rhymz is concerned the story never happened so am not going treat non-issue, however, I am interested in your person, Yeah Jamestext.
I find it curious that on FB, the smiling young man that peddled this same story goes by the name
Osaremen James JayAIMS Ei, now could it be a conincindence that the person peddling this same story in 4 different sectionS on NL also goes by the name JameText.Funny enough, Jamestext registered in 2009 on NL and has only 4 postings and all these 4 postings are threads with thesame story in four different section. . Nigga plsss give me a break! You are a Schemer and a Scamer and Pls don't even try to act holy with me cos that is like mocking God. May God help!
