I dumped Airtel early last month because of their cheap data that never works until 3days to expiry date then it Starts working like 4g. Subscription will Just waste just like that.

The game of numbers. These mobile networks have hammered in this country big time, yet they will keep denying it. Their data services are so poor.

My guess is that some people stopped charging their second line due to buharinomics.

Others may have abandoned moribund 9mobile.

A third group left Glo which network has been abysmal.

Many people, including me, have moved to Airtel. Airtel data speeds have increased tremendously and service is reliable. I moved from glo after 6 years of being a loyal user. The data quality is just too poor.

As for MTN, that one na network ?

Now, bck to d mata,....I seriously think n believe data shld be easily affordable considering d high rate at which pple use d internet dis days. As for me, av bn using MTN becos of der stable network in my area bt i am nt contented at al becos my 1k data does nt last mor dan 8/9 days which mks me subscribe atleast 3-4 times a month n its crazy. Even our ogas at d top ain't don't sh*t abt it,...

I jst cnt wait to start using airtel or any other cheap reliable network data outside d confines of my area wer MTN is superior.

My pain is that the way the mtn subscription flies eeehn.
Can you imagine 1.5GB just finish within some minutes of usage. Just on email and research on google using a laptop via hotspot. And no device else was connected except mine. Wierdest i have seen. To me its pure robbery. Even called the customer care, they were talking rubbish. MTN am leaving you for good.

The data showed a decrease 347,604 subscribers in the country.

Gainer and Loser’s Breakdown

Airtel gained more internet subscribers during the month under review, while MTN, 9Mobile and Globalcom were the big losers.

– The breakdown revealed that Airtel gained 162,711 new internet users, increasing subscription to its services from 26,548,338 million in May to 26, 711,049 in June.

– MTN lost 253,612 internet users in June amounting to 38, 937,473 as against 39,191,085 recorded in May.

– Globacom also lost 36,187 internet users decreasing its subscription to 26, 571,254 in June from 26,607,441 recorded in May.

– 9mobile lost 222,516 internet users in June decreasing its subscription to 10,585,346 as against 10,807,862 recorded in May.

Read the article again...it says Airtel gained more subscribers....where did these subscribers come from? From MTN, Glo & 9mobile.
For me, I came from MTN & 9mobile to Airtel. I'm a living example. Good riddance to fluctuating network of MTN & 9mobile.
