The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has released the 2018 ranking of all the 36 States, plus the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja in Nigeria.


Abia tops the chart, ahead of Anambra, Edo, Rivers and Imo states.

However, some states have risen above the positions they were during the last ranking, with Cross River State moving from 28th to 20th and Zamfara State dropping to last position.


Below is the latest WAEC ranking of the 36 states:

...igbos are great people . The most educated people in Nigeria. How they came back from the ashes of the civil war to top virtually on all the indices still remains a mystery. God is with them.

Examination malpractices is prevalent in the southwest, especially Lagos state... I'm sure they don't even deserve the 6th position

am from delta,once u hear abudu or oza nogogo in edo,exam malpractice comes to mind,cos' dats the home.only dat the success rate is higher in southewaste

These are all fake figures...almost the same list has been released with the same rankings from 2015 to 2018...why do people believe in fake posts just to make some very useless points?

WAEC does not rate states by performance.They do per individuals. In fact any rating u see by state including all those stated for 2015 to 2018 are all fake. Let them quote their WAEC link, source or website they saw the rating.The rating that u see each year by some indivifuals on Nairaland are almost the same.Please stop being fooled.
