".................................................[7] The Fairness Letter stated that the Principal Applicant’s employment history in his TRV application did not match the history in his FSW application. In the FSW application, the Principal Applicant stated that he had been employed by “Makkar Construction Company” since October 2007, while both of his TRV applications stated that he was the owner of “Suri Housing and Construction” [SHC]...............................

.............[12] On August 20, 2015, the Officer rejected the FSW application. ...........

...............14] The Applicants also argue that declaring one’s employment history in a TRV application serves a different purpose than in an FSW application. In TRV applications, applicants provide their employment history to establish that they have ties to their home country and possess sufficient funds for a short visit.....

.......[18] Preliminarily, I agree with the Applicants’ basic proposition that temporary and permanent residency applications are, in certain aspects, fundamentally dissimilar. However, I disagree with the Applicants when it comes to the materiality of the information they provided for the two applications and the impact that any inconsistences might have. In other words, while applications for different types of status engage different considerations, it does not necessarily flow that statements made in temporary residence applications cannot affect subsequent permanent residence applications (or vice versa). In this case, I find the Officer’s concerns vis-à-vis the contradictions between the Applicants’ temporary and permanent applications to be reasonable.....................

............[28] This application for judicial review is dismissed. There are no questions for certification or costs awarded........

Suri v. Canada (Citizenship and Immigration) 2016 FC 589

Hmmmmmmm! So they went to cross-check what the applicant filled in his TRV application and the FSW own? Why didnt he/she maintain same employment history. Speechless.

They should. Had a similar issue. The explanation was that they can't modify the old one. Mind you (for any other person reading this), this was for an infant.

Oh! My daughter will be 3 next month. I guess an affidavit will suffice of the NPC waka fails

You can get a new Birth Certificate from the NPC.
However, it will be marked as RE-ISSUE.
I did for my son because the one i did at birth got stained with a drink.
It was marked re - issued. I just stapled the two together.
He turned three last month.
DrMrsCK:

In a similar situation. The name on my passport is a compound name but mother's name on my daughter's birth certificate is just my husband's name. I think I will just swear an affidavit to that effect.

lol one staff in exams and records hid my green file since August undecided, and my first contact in FUTO didn't even know what's happening. So it was this new contact that took me to exams and records office, I met the staff, and he quickly brought out my file from where he hid it. He demanded I find him something after giving excuses that my application has to go through a lot of vetting blah blah. I didn't pay him a dime..my contact took it from there after I reprinted my proof of payment from FUTO's portal.

Hi Debsify, how much did you pay at FUTO portal and can you please help with the contact of the person in Exam and Records that helped you.

Thanks.

Its PPR!!!! What sweet relief on a day I got to work totally upset! Thanks to God that made all the crooked paths straight and to this great family of helpers. We should host a get-together in Canny soon.

So here’s my timeline:

IELTS: L S R W – 8.5, 8, 9, 7 - March 25, 2017. I did this test when I learnt of EE via the earlier versions of this thread.
ECA: February 16, 2018 IQAS (evaluated only LL.B). This was actually paid for in May 2017, but I was no longer eager about immigrating. Eventually sent docs to IQAS in January 2018 when I asked myself whether na so we go dey dey?!.
ITA: April 11 – chose the unaccompanying spouse option to boost CRS scores as wifey was not in a position to evaluate her degrees and write IELTS at the time. Will be going the spouse sponsorship route in the days ahead so watch out for more info on that.
AOR: July 9
IP1/MEP: July 26 – Na there I dey o….. until I open my mail this morning and saw READY FOR VISA…
PPR: Nov 5
God did the rest.
Best wishes to all of us that are still in various stages. Na only time e go take… if you persist, you will get to the Promised Land.

Please can i send you a dm, need an info as per unaccompanied spouse

Accra with interview sha. The concerns noted in his notes, can he address them with documentation? If so, he can raise a CSE with the attached documentation.

It might not help him jump the processing queue, but it might help waive the interview.

Congratulations to all PPR recipient, we are right behind you. I am here once again with my question (s). I'm trying to prepare all documents and cross check that everything is in place for this journey. Then a thought crossed my mind about my baby's birth certificate because i recall very well the day i filled the form and the lady who issued it told me to change the name I filled in to my husband's surname rather than using my maiden name where mother's name was requested so she changedbtge form for me. So my question is
1. Being that all my credentials has my maiden name and I do not plan to do a change of name will a there be a red flag if my child's birth certificate has my first name but last name is my husband's?

2. Should I process another birth certificate for mh baby and maintain my maiden name?

3. Process a change of name certificate for myself to clarify the two surnames?

Wow!!! Seniors in the house, kudos to you guys. This process is not easy ooo. Compiling documents and making sure there are no lose ends is not an easy something. May the Almighty see us through.

Hi, I have seen the various responses on this issue, but i want to look at this from another angle. I will go with option 3 tho... Don't you plan to bear you hubby's name in future, and also have other babies, what name do you hope to have on your canadian passport when you eventually get there...am just looking at a case in future where your kids have to prove they have same mother and then the mothers name on their birth certificates are different, or there could be other cases...
I don't really know if am making sense, but i think you should do the publication now to clarify the surnames.

FUTO. I needed it for a school in Germany, But i ended up not getting the admission because of late delivery. I have both the original and student copies with me sef
Ok then I think it will be easier to reapply now, because you've gone through the process before; it'll also be cheaper. However you'll need to find out how much it cost to reapply for your transcript, and please use ICES in order to avoid WES wahala.

We can never tell what CIC is thinking. In October, we had 2 consecutive draws on Mondays - October 15 and 29. From the trend, if we think a draw might occur on Monday (November 12), i am not sure it will because there is a public holiday (Remembrance Day) in Canada on that day. But then again, CIC is unpredictable. All we can do is wait and be hopeful.

1. Pick up French
2. Get an extra certificate.
3. Sponsor your younger sibling to go first so he/she can give you 15pts.
4. Use your wife as PA if her points will be higher.
