Scripting, in this context mean tuning the game to AI's favor in most cases. And I'm talking about highest difficulties in both.

I think PES is more scripted.
In FIFA the players build up speed before they attain top speed and they can be caught before they get to top speed, depending on who's running and who's chasing.
In PES they hit too speed like Bugattis and you can't catch the AI team mates even if you're using Ronaldo and the AI is using Van der saar. Also when you run with Ronaldo the AI would catch up with you even when it's using a ball boy.

In PES the AI foul you 9 times out of 10 without getting booked. Especially when the player is booked already. When playing PES my wingers are always going for injuries and most times the AI player gets off with a warning. In FIFA it is fairer

In PES when AI means to score, there's mostly nothing you can do about it. You just keep clearing the ball until some mistake happens and the ball ends up in your net. Maybe through, corner, or freekick, backhead heading or some nyash shoving at the ball.

The scripting in PES is so demeaning and disrespectful to our intelligence that sometimes their strikers come to the post without a goalie and they still pass backwards just to compensate all their previous cheating. Like wtf, Don't treat me like a beginner, I know what you're trying to do.

Note: It is impossible to make a game without scripting but, it won't be any less difficult if the scripting is fair.
Not stupid scriptings Like how in Metro, AI teleport when they see you... Ridiculous

And forget that goal kick heading, even messi will head the ball while contesting with Ibrahimovic most times.

At least in FIFA they have sliders to match the AI's improvements. In PES... well, it's "go fvck yourselves"

My verdict:
FIFA is way better than PES in general approach to gameplay experience.
