persius555: I'll have loved to engage you in a more political and economic discussions without insult. That being said, the Venezuelan economic challenges didn't just start yesterday, neither is it soley based on trade restrictions from the West but majorly from internal mismanagement. Venezuela, based on OPEC's quota supplied more crude oil to the world oil market and as a result earned far more that Nigeria in times past. Now you ask yourself what could have happened to such country with more foreign earnings, not mindin their GDP. Truth of the matter is, the country being a mono- economy couldn't survive the effects of the drop in foreign exchange earnings, with crude oil their holy Grail. The trade sanctions you mentioned didn't just start 2 years ago, long before now and there have been times Nigeria was blacklisted as well. As a matter of fact, the USA,which used to be the largest importer of Nigerian crude oil stopped trading with us 2 years ago leaving a fellow struggling country, India, our major exporter. What I'm saying is,it's high time we Nigerians came together to fight for ourselves and not any politician fighting for his/ her own benefits. Truth of the matter is,they really don't care about us but using us for their own political interest. |

until you people STOP seeing one party as saviour... Both PDP and APC are Thieves. Trust me, they start projects without completing it and use the same uncompleted project for campaigning for their 2nd term. And at the end, they wont finish it. They use these projects to collect funds that they'll eventually embezzled. lionness: 1 Like |

Op, point of correction, the stretch of the road has 4 flyovers not 3 as you forget the agbado flyover. I think the problem with Amosun is misplaced priority, Amosun is embarking on reconstruction of the sagamu siun Abeokuta expressway that was dualized not too long ago by the Gbenga Daniel administration while the concentration should be on completion of the ijoko road that is almost turning to an abandoned project. Though paucity of funds can be blamed for the slow pace of work on the road as at the time the road construction started the federal allocation was huge due to high oil price then but along the line funds started to dwindle and the state govt can't commit required funds to the project hence the delay in the project. But instead of prioritizing ijoko road to see to its completion within the administration's lifespan, Amosun is embarking on unnecessary reconstruction of the sagamu siun Abeokuta road. |

I drove through that Akute for the first time yesterday. It was also the first time I was going to the area. I saw dazzled when I saw the abandoned constructions. At once I thought of my guy AutoJoshNG...I just had the feeling he would do the needful and he did not disappoint Its really sad seeing lots of huge projects that would benefit the masses being abandoned for years while the leaders who are supposed to be the voice of the masses .... .... .... .... I really want to say something harsh but let me still give them some level of respect and let others say it for me. |

Heard at a point that the construction is been handled by federal government, don't know how true anyway. I passed through the road today and what I saw was horrible. I think it's high time we challenge these useless leaders eyes for eyes.. |

That road if completed would alleviate millions of Nigerians who have left inner lagos for boundary towns that lie between lagos and ogun as a result of increasing accomodation bills. Because of the deplorable state of this road, souls have been lost and the transport fare has become astronomical. Amosun is one of the low performing governors who has managed to evade governance radar by using public propaganda. Ogun state has never gotten it right despite its proximity to the largest economy in nigeria. Indigenes of ogun state must wake up and demand for better governance.
