A chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Imo State, High Chief George Ikpeazu, has enjoined the people of the state to identify with APGA in order to elect Mr. Okey Ezeh as governor come 2019. He said Ezeh is well loved and has general acceptability, and is a unifier with whom the party is sure of victory at the polls next year.

The revered APGA leader from Owerri North, who spoke from the United States of America, made this call weekend in a telephone interview with the National Newsbreak correspondent in Owerri. He
described APGA as the only political platform that can remedy the ills created by the incumbent administration.

The astute entrepreneur harped on the need for APGA faithful in the state to place the interest of the state and the growth of the party above some other transient gains.

The amiable politician insisted that what Imo really needs at this point is a credible and capable hand who is skilled, tried and tested in financial engineering and prudent management of men and materials, and said that it is Mr. Okey Ezeh who fits into that description.

He counseled all those who intend to participate in the governorship primaries of the party as delegates to stand firm and make a case for the progress of the party, for a reliable candidate and for genuine passion to make Imo work again.

Ikpeazu maintained that the success of APGA at the polls will largely depend on the ability of the delegates to nominate Ezeh as the party's governorship candidate.

According to him, "The type of love APGA faithful in Imo State have for Okey Ezeh hasn't been seen anywhere else lately. I came home from the United States to participate in the membership drive and electoral awareness initiative of the party across the state. In view of that, I witnessed firsthand the feelings of our party members. I heard them bare their minds. There is a position they hold which no argument can be superior to, and that position is that they want Okey Ezeh.

"Through consistency of character and power of persuasion, Okey Ezeh has permeated the minds of our party men and women, and represents a solution to their litany of disappointments. I know the party cannot ignore the feelings of its members," he enthused.

Ikpeazu also hailed Ezeh for his ideas on how to transform Imo economically, and said Ezeh is well prepared to govern given his economic roadmap which has matchless grasp of the real issues in the state and solutions thereof.

He further commended the National Chairman of the party, Dr. Victor Oye, for his commitment to infusing APGA with a democratic spirit and all the members of the National Working Committee and BoT for their tireless efforts to ensuring that many more states are captured by APGA come 2019. He also eulogized the Imo State APGA Chairman, Barr. Peter Ezeobi, for his wonderful leadership which has made APGA the largest political party in the state.
