Photos: Governor Udom’s Commissioner for Culture and Tourism Resigns After Akpabio’s Defection

The dynamism rolling around the 2019 General Election is epic. As time ticks silently, tension embraces the moment – and the general public set their eyes and ears to spot the glimmer of defections from one political party to another.

Recently, the news of defection has littered the entire news space, coursing frenzy in various camps. The natural overview of the everyday Nigerian is – “Leave them, they’re all liars and criminals….”

In light to this, there is careless values for the ordinary masses, who give sway to whichever party their Darling Politicians find solace. It simply means, every time a particular politician defects, he or she takes a large number of Nigerians along. It clearly shows that everyone is a political prostitute.

Recently, Senator Godswill Akpabio shocked the entire country and PDP enthusiasts when he defected to the ruling party APC. A lot of Nigerians cannot calculate the matrix towards his defection. A source told Naija Gist and Gossips that he did it out of the rift he has with Governor Udom, in a bid to win back Akwa Ibom back to himself, as he has seemingly lost grip of Governor Udom’s loyalty.

Others said he cannot contain having Saraki in same party with him, as Akpabio loves being lorded. With or without speculations, Akpabio’s political Journey is essential towards what 2019 will look like. There’s division in various political camps in Akwa-ibom. A lot of politicians and technocrats’ loyalty will be put to test, as a host of them has pledged their unalloyed support for the present Governor, why others decided to follow through with their God Father, Godswill Akpabio.

One of such persons is the Honourable Commissioner Of Culture and Tourism, Rt. Hon. Victor Antal. While Akpabio was welcomed at Akwa-ibom airport yesterday, Mr. Victor Antal who is was serving under Governor Udom was spotted amongst the delegates who went to felicitate with Akpabio over his arrival.

It is no surprise that prior to yesterday, the Commission has tendered his Resignation Letter to the office of the Governor. In selective obviousness, a lot will unfold during this period. The country seats in folded alms to watch as they all leverage on their scripted political gimmicks.
