The ongoing feud between APC handlers and the Senate President is not healthy for the nation and portends great dangers to our fledgling democracy. It's unfortunate that this is happening at a time when the nation is desperately in need of succour to bail its citizenry out of abject poverty and despair.

The trend is taking an ominous turn that is likely to subvert the rule of law and engenders chaos and anarchy if not managed with tacts.

Senator Bukola Saraki, as we know, is the number three man after the president and his vice. I know what can equally happen if Saraki is politically ambitious even now that he is pitching his tent with the opposition party. The smart moves of Saraki to clinch the Senate Presidency and accede the deputy to the opposition can further take another twist if he has an eye for the office of the president. This confirms the rash and uncouth methods employed in recent times by APC leaders to quickly oust him from that lofty position. Nevertheless, as I said, engage tacts.

National interest should be above selfish interests and ambitions. Hmm, no single blood of a Nigerian is worth the ambition of any politician.

It's not going to be easy if the constitution provision is applied. 2/3rd of the Senate or 2/3rd of 1/3rd of the senators present in a quorum. PDP has 49 members, APC 52 others from APGA etc. And APC needs at least 73 members or 24 in a quorum to impeach Saraki. Very unlikely he will be brought down.
