Please. I need your (Nigerian) opinions and experiences with
2006 Hyundai Santa Fe (2006)
2006 Subaru Forester (2006)
In terms of
1. Parts availability 2. Ruggedness/reliability 3. Fun to drive.
I need your views for making a decision. I am aware that their engine configurations are not the same. Eg. Santa Fe is 2.7L and 3.6L while Subaru has 2.4L and 2.5L

Which one is prone to being stolen?

For me I will go for the Santa-Fe.. More Mechanics are working on hyundai/Kia.. Parts are available compared to Subaru...

More people are buying Kia/Hyundai in place of the almighty Honda/Toyota.. They are cheaper and with god maintenance you will enjoy it.

I just noticed that Hyundai/Kia was the 3rd largest car manufacturers in 2017.

Very soon Hyundai/Kia will become the next Toyota on our roads. I’m looking at Hyundai Tucson.

Now that toyota is so expensive.. Soon Hyundai will flood our roads.

I test drove a 2004 Santa Fe with 2.7L engine today.. it picked and drove like RAV4. If not for the badge, one could almost mistake for a Japanese

How about the AC, and the Santa-fe is balanced on durable. I keep telling people that there are cheaper and good brands as alternative to Toyota and Honda.

The one I tested was with 2.7L engine, 170 horsepower @ 6000 RPM, AWD.
The AC was very crispy and responsive. The engine was peppy and the ride had road manners. The only snag was the engine noise was a bit high for me like 2.4L RAV4. I guess it was the way it was tuned. Not many people will like this.

In the real world the best vehicle between those two is the Subaru Forester, more reliable and all wheel drive makes it the best option for Nigerian roads. Getting parts is where things get coma.

Take a look at the best selling CUV and you will find Forester in top 10

Getting the Santa-Fe’s parts won’t be stressful like the Subaru.
