The country is conspicuous of the problems confronting it, which culminated from lack of co-operation, and the scant attention given to it has made the country backward in many ways. . The failure and lack of unionism in Nigeria has led the country into social, politica l,economic, educational and international crises. The vast majority of the people are conversant with these problems, but could not fathom out how to conquer them and which exacerbate the situation. . The co-operation and commitment towards realizing the objectives, aims ,goals and growth of Nigeria have been hindered due to shortcomings at all levels of government. However, in spite of its good intention of the development of the country, there is lack of unity which foster the crises ravaging the country. . Furthermore, mediocrity has been the order of the day. Representatives lack necessary skills and prowess in discharging their functions. They are complete ignoramus in the duties empowered on them. Moreover, the systems of government are devised in isolated plans of every theorists due to lack of fair hearing, tolerance, superiority and supremacy of one over the other, hence pose threat to the order and enfeeble success of the organization. . This largely contribute to the rise of the crises out of the dearth of unionism trending in Nigeria. . The problems of the country should not be the topic of discussion, but the solutions to the challenges undermining the success ought to be the crux of the matter. None of these hindrances are difficult to surmount if actions are taken towards eliminating it. . The need for an effective leadership will arise to resolve the problem. No institution will progress without the active involvement of the leader. He should be consistent, tenacious, tolerant and disciplined. This will help to protect the interests of the people and will alleviate all forms of oppression and repression. . The constitution of the state must be strictly adhered to. The laws should guide all activities in the aspects of government, education, and economy in order to lessen the acts of bribery and corruption, empower the young Nigerians for the future, and to improve in the standard of living of the people. . Also, there should be a programme for retraining people in government. The programme will enlighten them more in performing their duties;their rulings should conform with the established rules and regulations, make them conscious of their deeds and the effect of it on the people and on the country. . Democracy as a system adopted in Nigeria is meant to be on behalf of the people. Government should consider the citizens in making policies. Policies are not plans that will affect the citizens and difficult for them to obey. Laws made for the betterment of the country ought not to be a disadvantage to its people;it is of majority consent and the benefit of the public. . At the same time, the immunities of political leaders should be abolished,as upholding the principle of rule of law. The laws apply equally to all citizens irrespective of their economic or political status. Hence, leaders, while in power ought to be sued and punished if guilty. It will absolutely reduce the embezzlement of public funds and the defrauding of the country. . Nigeria is not irredeemable, it can be saved from these difficulties. If these solutions are considered and implemented, the situations of the country would change for better. We need ample co-operation for Nigeria to progress. .
