Dear Nwafọ Igbo,

Have you heard that BBC has opened a new language service in the Igbo language?

Igbo ga-adị!

Please endeavour to click on BBC Igbo https://www.bbc.com/igbo and stay on the site for at least 5 mins daily.

Also visit their Facebook page: https://m.facebook.com/BBCnewsIgbo/ and share and comment on the content there.

Why? Statistics are currently being collated and the results are not pleasant. If it persists, they'll close BBC Igbo down. That will be a huge loss for ndị Igbo, as it's a platform from which they share our language and culture with the world. It’s also aiding in preserving the Igbo language which UNESCO says will go extinct by 2050.

Please visit BBC Igbo: https://www.bbc.com/igbo and encourage at least 5 people to do the same. 5 minutes a day is more than enough.

Igbo kwenu!

Please share!
