The people of Amorokeni village in Ogbia local government area, Bayelsa state, witnessed horror in the hands of unknown attackers who stormed the quiet community to wreck havoc on Sunday, August 12th.

It was gathered that the hoodlums invaded the community on Sunday night while shooting sporadically at the harmless villagers. 

The attackers who stole undisclosed amount of money and properties - were also said to have molested, harassed and even stripped woman naked during the raid.

The villagers who are counting their losses - are calling on the government and security agencies to come to their aid and bring the perpetrators to book.

Below is what Social Media Crusader Osuar Daniel Shagari shared online; 

With tears in our eyes we condemn the invasion of Amorokeni Community in Ogbia L.G.A, Bayelsa state, the only place we can call our home by unknown assailants and armed bandits who stormed the community on Sunday night shooting sporadically with sophisticated weapons, harassing, degrading, molesting, intimidating, striping naked innocent women, injuring many with serious machete injuries , and leaving one with a serious injury on the leg with a gun shot, destroying properties worth millions of naira while going away with cash worth millions, mobile phones and other important belongings and throwing the peaceful community to a war zone.

Never again will this happen in our land.

While we are counting our losses, and doing everything possible within our reach to identify and bring the perpetrators to book, we hereby call on security agencies, well meaning individuals within Ogbia L.G.A, Bayelsa state and Nigeria generally to come to our aid so collectively we will bring an end to this unholy and ugly trend bedeviling Ogbia Kingdom.

Let's be mindful of what we read on news media

The armed militia might be aiding the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in doing their job

FYI, the women weren't molested, they were instead disciplined

Why?

Because they must have committed a hidden crime

Hence, they were stripped unclad

Most Nigerians are not well disciplined and that's why things are not going the way they should

I commend the armed militia on this

They proved to us that they are well-meaning Nigerians
