I don't think such lengthy contract is a good idea
Lol what do you know about football. He should be one demanding the lengthy contract even. It gets him more settled with assured wages by contract. And if a club comes for him he can always still move if he and the club agrees to the move

Improves the re-sell value for the club.

Dude you obviously don't watch Leicester City. Take Ndidi out of that team and all you have is a näked midfield. This guy helped ameliorate the loss of Kanté and Drinkwater.

Happy for Ndidi. He deserved this improved contract!!

Exactly, but I can see why he did it. He is an automatic starter for an epl team and he probably loves the city ownership and life.

Nice! They want to avoid loosing him for a small price like they did with kante! He's gon leave before 6 yrs but trust me, his release clause is high by now

2 seasons ago mahrez did such and didn't he end up leaving ?

It doesn't really mean,at least no hope for him going for a cheaper amount.

This nigga and harry Maguire are the club most valuable players

Good thing you mentioned Mahrez. Last season when man city indicated interest in him and he also submitted a transfer request, did Liecester city release him? What if man city had withdrawn their interest this season, he would have remained in a mid-table team he has no interest in playing for. Stuff like that can kill a player's morale and overall form. It affected Mahrez's performance for a while, at a point I thought he was deliberately playing below par because Liecester refused to release him. I hope Wilfred read through the contract very well and it's release clause before signing.

So you too see am? Despite his woeful performance at the world cup. Well, I don't really blame the guys. Our government won't make amends , should they sustain any carer-ending injuries during the world cup tournament. They kukuma reserve their energy for their club sides, from where they earn money to feed themselves and families.

Lol and a man had to Concord to that rubbish comment from a woman who knows nothing about football.. grin
I'm sure u are one of those who thinks 'if u dont score a goal then u didn't play well" grin

WomaN get ur facts right, long contract doesn't mean u can't leave before then

This contract will not affect Wilfred it can only make him go for bigger amount,we are talking about African most valuable player here.

Lukaku signed a 5 year deal with Everton but he ended up and Man U

I don't think you know about how this contract works, even if na 10 years contract that can't stop a player from leaving

Let me remind you of sterling in Liverpool,he also ended up leaving his 6 year deal to join mancity

depends on the clauses in the contract. There may be release clauses like after two years they will renegotiate the contract or when a bigger club comes for ndidi what will happen then. This is good for both club and player.

everybody cannot be a striker of course. All I meant is, he didn't play his role well . Hope that's understood now?
