This young lady said the #Endsars movement had an impact because the victims were mostly men, meaning assuming the victim were women nothing would've been done.

It worked because Innocent people where being gunned down daily, it had nothing to do with gender.

Insults already raining down, how about we try analyze her thoughts, somehow she could be right, lots of ladies have complained about SARS harassing them especially sexually but people do nothing but blame them for what they wear, its like we find excuses and justification for crime once women are involved, but overall I wouldn't want to make success of end SARS a gender thing, it benefits us all

Surely not.

Is the government responsible for sexual harassment and rape?

How do you expect them to stop it? When even civilized countries like US and UK are still battling with these things.

Only people can stop sexual assault themselves.

BTW, most Nigerians don't take male sexual assault seriously so why do you think someone will fvcking care about female assault?

If you're assaulted and you've evidence, the ball is in your court to do whatever you like.

Do you understand the issue here? isn't it about how End SARS got publicity cos men where most of their victims? how many the affected people by SARS provide evidence like you are asking? didn't we believe them? my point is clear here not sure why you decide to twist things

Nigeria isn't that lawless. You can't accuse a police man or SARS official of sexual harassment or rape without evidence and expect people to take you serious. How will people know if it's real or false when you don't have evidence.

You were even the one twisting it by talking about female sexual harassment.

If we aren't deceiving ourselves here, we both know that if women were mostly the victims of SARS, SARS would've ended a long time ago.

Chibok girls got worldwide attention but 2months earlier 40boys were kidnapped and nobody talked about them.

Using you logic we shouldn't have believed anyone who said SARS harassed them too cos no evidence? isn't this why police hierarchy saw end SARS campaign as a sham, I understand need for evidence but again a female won't be believed like the men if they tell their harassments from SARS

Dude, when a female is beaten by SARS she runs to social media to say she was sexually harassed.
When a man is beaten he simply calls it HARRASSMENT.

We both knows what constitutes sexual harassment. SARS aren't that stupid to be molesting females on the highways.

So you think SARS sexually harassing ladies is a myth, you think any lady that says SARS sexually harrased her is lying? do you know how many ladies thats been exploited sexually inside SARS vans in middle of the night? these are people who kill with no mercy, you might need evidence but don't belittle what people have faced under SARS

Guess he didn't realize that, people just try justify anything against women they tend not to think deep, initially I didn't see much from what the lady said but gave it a thought and realized it might be true, though I wouldn't want to make it a gender thing, SARS maimed everyone irrespective of gender

How many times have you heard of policemen using gun to threaten people and after that rape them?

You guys will just be typing rubbish. Government can't stop sexual harassment stop typing bullshît on the internet.

Government didn't tell people to kill, rape or intimidate anybody. The best the government can do for you is the prosecute the suspects if you've tangible evidence.
