AWADEC; PARTICIPATION OF ABIA WOMEN IN DECISION MAKING AS A BEDROCK TO SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

The 2018 series of the Abia Women’s August Delegates Conference AWADEC, organized by the Office of the Wife of the Governor, Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu in collaboration with the Ministry of Women Affairs will hold on Thursday the 30th of August 2018.

In a release made available to the press, the conference with the theme: “Women Participation in Decision Making, the Bedrock to Sustainable Development” will feature a keynote address on the roles women can play in expanding the political horizon, and promoting qualitative and responsive leadership.

According to the release, over 3,000 women delegates from various Local Government Areas, professional women groups, women organizations, and welfare associations, will attend the event.

The AWADEC which is in its fourth season, will feature cultural exhibitions including folklore, dance, artwork and cuisine from every part of the state.

The release further directs delegates to arrive the Michael Okpara Auditorium, Library Avenue, Umuahia on Thursday August 30th 2018 before 10.00 a.m. to complete registration procedures before the arrival of the wife of the Governor, Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu.
