Shiva N'Zigou has made news again through a viral video in which he tells a heartrending story of some of the most difficult moments during his football career: from manipulating his birth certificate, to practicing incest and being an 'accomplice' of his mother's sacrifice for a spiritual rite.
N'Zigou confesses in a all his sins during a five-minute 'ceremony' in an evangelical church in his country.
"My mother is dead and I want to confess that she was sacrificed," he said in images broadcast on Christian television channel TV2Vie .
"I signed many contracts and my father wanted all the money for him, he told me he was going to kill my mother.
"I refused, but he did it in order that his spirit helped me to advance in my football career."
If that revelation weren't shocking enough, more was to follow.
"When I was younger, I twice had sex with my aunt," he continued.
"I also did it with my sister and then I had sex with a man."
Finally, N'Zigou acknowledged that he took off five years off of his true age at the beginning of his career.
He was known as the youngest player to score in an African Cup, at 16 years old, but in reality he was 21.
"I'm five years older," he added.
