Maybe because nobody on the threads uses Snapchat. Redmi Note 5 has a more powerful processor compared to cx or other. Processor and memory management are usually the cause of apps lagging so I'm sure that won't be an issue

Do a research on common Android device issues and also on how to resolve them. Note them down and also watch videos on YouTube. Next buy a cheap Android device and use that to learn/train yourself. Practice makes perfect.

The questions you ask actually look like an insult to the note 5. Maybe you think we are just overhyping, imagine snapchat . Bros, let me repeat myself, the note 5 trumps the Phantom 8 and Infinix zero 5 in every department, maybe you will understand better now, or will be scared to upgrade to any of these?

Do you have TWRP flashed ? You can't just downgrade like that unless you use the fastboot method, this will mean you'll lose all your files. If you don't have the file for your current rom, you can download it and flash via updater again, that's a better option. I used a note 4 on the same version as yours some days back, everything was fine.

don't really do snap chat ...but I don't think it hangs ...a phone with a gpu Nd a Snapdragon CPU ?...I don't think so .does iPhone 6s hang?...

But somebody b dey talk say Camon Cx na one of the best for snapchatting some time ago, nawa. Well, might have to download snapchat just to satisfy ur curiosity.

Modified : Just downloaded snapchat and tried on both Redmi note 5 and Redmi note 4x, and expectedly, no ish with videos with filters.

Dot is, any custom ROM is op at multitasking,
