Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State was agog with celebration over the weekend as the people gathered for the celebration of their annual Ufuma New Yam Festival, an occasion that brought together sons and daughters of the land of all ages and statuses alongside their well-wishers to share in a communal feast.



As part of its efforts to promote arts and culture in Nigeria, the nation’s popular mobile giant, itel Mobile, supported the Ufuma New Yam Festival this year.

itel Mobile’s support of the Festival is part of its initiative, to make a positive and enduring impact on the country’s socio-cultural landscape through its support of festivals across the country. The initiative is borne out of the desire to preserve and project the country’s rich cultural heritage.
