Fuel Economy, maintenance, durability, prestige, likely problems I might face, it will be meant for outings nd important occasions only as I still wanna own my golf for the dirty errands. I like cars with a good shocks too, I wouldn't want to be feeling road bumps, I love good sound system too and neat interior.

Go for the avalon..... Many of the standard gadgets on the Avalon came as optional on the Lexus and you might not be lucky to get a lexus that has all option installed. Besides, the avalon is cheaper and you get everything that's in the Lexus.

For the Limited Avalon, I might agree on that, but the Lexus is an upgraded Avalon with more options. Besides the cost of getting the highest trim Avalon might get you a better equipped Lexus.

Yeah, I was talking about the limited edition of the Avalon since that's what the op chose. But on the bolded, we all know that the Lexus is a very costly car, by the time you equip it with the same options you get on the limited edition avalon, the cost would have gone up the roof. So if you are to compare price with the same level of options, the highest trim Avalon is way cheaper.
