Sammi Khadera (Tunisia), Dennis Aogo(Nigeria), Jerome Boateng(Ghana), Serdar Taschi and Mesut Ozil(Turkey) Lucas Podolski, Piotr Trochowski and Miroslav Klose,(Poland) Marko Merin(Bosnia), Mario Gomez(Spain) and Cacau(Brazil) are from different countries. I think contributed to the free flowing pattern of football seen in this German team. This team plays a more different football from the normal rugged and hard tackling football we know the Germans for.

Most of them were born in Germany which makes them German by birth.

Its like saying Obama is Kenyan, Ledley King, Ashley Cole, Jermaine Defoe, Heskey and other black players are carribean, Oguchi Onyewu and Maurice Edu are Nigerian, Zidane is Algerian, Makelele is Congolese, Evra and Vieira are Senegalese, Zlatan is Bosnian.

I expected South Africa to do same before this world cup
A Nigerian journalist once suggested it to them that so many talented Africans playing in their league should be encouraged to take up South African citizenship but they refused.

Some of you really sound daft and unexposed.
All those players in the French and German national teams were either born or raised in their respective countries of adoption. Most of them are the 2nd, 3rd or 4th generation of immigrants. They are well integrated and all speak the language.
It's not like in athletics where one can just get naturalized to represent a country for the sake of taking part in the Olympics.

Yeah, that was the frenchies option that landed them their first ever mundial.

But you also have to take note that none of these players, both the Frenchies and the Germans 'bought' these players as they do in Athletics.

They are all home grown talents! Maybe one day, we too will have Europeans that grow up here proudly don our shirts in competitions. dreams, aight cool  cool  cool  cool  cool
