Legal practitioners and civil society organizations have condemned President Muhammadu Buhari’s statement at the opening ceremony of the Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) on Monday.

The President, in his speech, told lawyers to put national security over and above the rule of law.

Reacting, Ebun-olu Adegboruwa, in a statement on Tuesday, said Buhari’s declaration was a great set back for Nigeria’s democracy and national development.

He mentioned that: “National Security has no definition, it has no limit; it is amorphous and panders to individual discretion. It is the rule of the Executive Arm of Government alone, being the one responsible for policy implementation and the determination of security imperatives.

The lifeless presidiot is gradually taking every steps within his lifeless brain to bring every government apparatus under his control, and someone may ask, what for? It simply means that Security apparatus will now be above any rules of the Judiciary and can no longer by law answerable to any Judicial authority for what ever actions taken by any security body in any case. Remember that all security apparatus is currently under the total control of the lifeless presidiot Muhammadu Buhari, now by the implementation of this placement, it will now enhance the total influence of the dullard to do what ever he wishes using intimidations and threats with the security forces. Already the National Assembly and the Judiciary is totally irrelevant in this government, otherwise let someone prove me wrong.
