Alaafin Of Oyo, Oba (Dr.) Lamidi Adeyemi III Receives honorably tribute On the 25th of August during the World Sango Festival 2018 from a Parliamentary official, Mr. Denilson Cordeiro Monteiro who came to Oyo town, to deliver this honourably tribute in hand to His Majesty.

INTERPRETATION OF THE LETTER IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE FOR EVERYONE TO READ AND AWARD FROM THE GOVERNMENT OF BRAZIL TO OBA ADEYEMI III, ALAAFIN OYO.

IT READS: " The Legislative Assembly of São Paulo State in Brazil through the representative member of the State Congress Clélia Gomes granted an honourable tribute to His Imperial Majesty , the Oba (Dr.) Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III, the Alaafin Oyo.
On the 25th of August during the World Sango Festival 2018 a Parliamentary official, Mr. Denilson Cordeiro Monteiro came to Oyo town, to be able to deliver this honourably tribute in hand to His Majesty.

It states that “ His Majesty, the King (Dr.) Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III, the Alaafin of Oyo, the head of the Yoruba and the Guardian of the Yoruba Culture and Tradition, admired and vibrant with the magnificent work of preservation and cultural exchange that our King, the Alaafin Oyo, develops for Preservation of the traditional Orisa religion, and also the preservation of the Yoruba culture as a whole, thus proving its visit to Brazil in 2014 to strengthen ties with the houses of Orisa religion here, left since the time of slavery that began in around the year 1500 in Brazil, with the coming of several people who brought the Orisa religion and this religion is perpetuated until the days of today 2018, 500 years after we still have the preservation of Orisa religion here on Brazilian soil , and it was a honour to have received the Alaafin Oyo in his visit to Brazil, and again we admire his work on Yoruba soil, which is also on preservation. The Members of the State Congress represented by the State Member Clélia Gomes, of the State of São Paulo, Brazil, which develops a long time work of preservation and struggle in favour of the Afro religions, representing the people of Orisa religion among the political bodies in Brazil being represented with the Chair of State Member, we wish honourably to deliver a tribute to His Majesty"
