frowland:intra party debate does not really concerns us the general electorate it concerns the party delegates more than us to pick the candidates, morever the intra party manifesto has taken care of that. But inter party debate is necessary because you and i must vote them into power. So, i'm only canvassing for what i'm directly involved in and i have the power to pick. |

PHILipu1:Oh, really? 16 years achievement would too many to mention . Let's start from the Jonathan's single term. No government has constructed roads like Jonathan did. The east-west road The Abuja Lokoja highway The Katsina sokoto road The Abuja and Lagos new airports The Abuja light rail which was under 75 percent completion but recently commissioned by buhari The on going 2nd naija bridge in the south east Lagos-ibadan expressway project, that's a few I can remember on road construction. There are many more either completed or half done all over the country. The best fertilizer programme in Nigeria since inception . You-win programme which had lifted thousands of Nigerians out of poverty and made hundreds entrepreneurs for life. My cousin was a beneficiary. He didn't know anybody in the pdp-led govt Our naira wasn't this bad in value Nigeria wasn't rated the poorest country in the world under Gej goivt Our economy fared better despite the reported pdp massive corruption by the Saint apc Insecurity was controllable unlike now that herdsmen slaughter thousands innocent civilians like goats. Over 8 people were still killed in plateau this week pls google is your friend if in doubt. Despite the fact that Nigerians refused to accept Gej please for removal of subsidy, he was still paying subsidy and we bought fuel for less than 100 naira a liter, unlike now that we're paying 145 naira to buy petrol after buhari and his people came to beg us( the move which they kicked against when Gej was in power), promising they'd use the subsidy to create jobs( but no jobs created), fix refineries( we still import fuel till tomorrow), fix our roads( no roads fixed except those initiated but completed by buhari in Niger state),fix our hospitals( buhari still goes abroad for medical treatment and Nigerian hospitals are almost empty) Jonathan initiated and equipped primary health centres, which buhari applauded and promised to create 10,000 more( nothing has been done yet) During Jonathan govt, no governor was owing salary unlike now that governors are owing workers for months. NB. It's an indisputable fact that pdp govt was corrupt but the saint apc isn't faring better because the sack of Daura and Ekiti election where the BBC exposed apc leaders buying votes on election day had exposed the apc. What of the Katsina by-election where money was being shared openly by apc? Theresa may and Angela markel's visit isn't about applause of buhari but to advise him not to seek re-election giving the Moribund state of our economy and the concerns given by the vote buying. By the time apc leaves office, the level of corruption that would be discovered would cause many Nigerians to faint. I supported buhari blindly in 2015 thinking he'd do the following for our people: 1- fix roads 2-tackle insecurity using his military background 3- provide employment 4- improve our economy 5- improve healthcare 6- fight corruption, 7-improve on electricity, etc Amazingly, instead of improving on the above, things rather became worse. It's almost 4 years already, not 3 years as you mentioned in your earlier post yet, no achievement to point to. This isn't about launching an attack on anybody. We all feel the heat and the realities stare us in the face. PDP isn't a better party either. Buhari came and made things worse for Nigerians. We're all Nigerians. Our country, if nothing drastic is done, may fail to exist in the next 10 years with the way things are going. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

abokibuhari: Every other thing you said might be right but the statement that PDP were awesome in the 16 years of governance made me cringe. That is somewhat a careless assertion because if memories serves me right, I still recall pdp were always doing one banquet or the other every time for no reason at all which was waste of money. I watched as Gov. Wike of River State on AIT had a banquet in honor of Peter Odilli just because it's his birthday and a whole lot of tax payers money was used for solely that event which is a common feature in PDP. This APC have not faired better economy wise but what I noticed is they are not given to unnecessary state banquet like there counterpart (PDP ) . Atleast, we haven't seen any state banquet especially when the likes of heads of government have been to Nigeria in recent past. Let me say here that I'm not given to either of the parties but just felt the need to clear ur statement. |

abc115:I think you're right in some of your permutations but let me say something here. Before I go on, I no dey for any party please note. In 2015, I was attacked by many pdp members for saying the simple truth, that buhari would win, even when many believed Jonathan would win. The only candidate who could aid the pdp coast to history among the aspirants is Saraki. Contrary to a deduction from your earlier post that NW, NE ,NC and SW can't be won by any of the party members. If he could pick a south-east guy as his running mate, l'obatan Saraki is kwakwanso's( Kano) best friend, same with tambuwal( sokoto), shekarau(kano), ortom( benue), darius( taraba) Danwkabo( who was speculated to have left pdp but said he remains in the party regardless of the outcome of primaries) Niger State governor is defecting to the pdp it's already in the news. All these are incumbent number one citizens in their respective states and they'd work tirelessly for saraki's victory. In kaduna, pdp could get the needed electoral percentage needed to win. Don't forget that southern Kaduna is an ardent supporter of the pdp too. Kogi's most populated ethnic group are the igalas and they're predominantly pdp supporters. Their son who was supposed to be apc governor but died controversially is going to pose a great threat to Yahaya bello's come back. The okun communities too are unhappy the way Bello is treating their son, Dino so, pdp is likely to have an upper hand there. Come to the south east, it's pdp stronghold. Apga is a younger brother of the pdp and they'd support them definitely, same with south south. Southwest leaders are never in support of the apc because of their stance on restructuring. Most of their governors especially Oyo, osun and ogun state( obh's state) are unlikely to win the state for apc. The only region where pdp could have an issue is north west which may be inconsequential in the winning of next year's election, going by Jonathan's winning electoral map of 2011. 1 Like 3 Shares |
How bro, Nigerians had it cool when PDP was in power. I bought half bag of rice for my parents at the rate if #8,000, what I used in buy full bag of rice then. You need to see the sufferings Nigerians are going through. The annoying things is that old LIFELESS cow still wants another four years [/quot So you want fed govt to keep on importing rice into the country instead of supporting home grown rice? All of a sudden they are signing an MOU to back an assumed consensus candidate ........ You don't see them signing such manner of MOU on how to bring meaningful development to the nation.... We know what happened to how Secondus was elected. We looking forward to an improved version to picking a presidential aspirant. |

buharitill2023:not disputing that. They were all Jonathan's projects. Those commissioned as mentioned. Government is a continuum. When the apc leaves office, if they also have projects initiated by them, the sussessive governments too would finish it. But for now, I can't see any project apc has started/initiated or completed. Jonathan may not be a good president but what he did in his 4 years despite the massive corruption that greeted his govt is massive, truth be told. We'd know how much this govt too is corrupt after they leave office. Daura's corrupt practice shocked me. This man is from same town with buhari, incidentally . If he wasn't sacked, Nigerians wouldn't have known the man was so corrupt . |

Oga,saraki will be the easiest to beat.the ss/se may be pdp strongholds of rigging but without federal might, you wont see much votes.again since northerners are contesting, not many will turnup.secondly, yoruba leaders were against buhari in 2015 so it doesnt matter.saraki cannot win more than 5 states, only atiku or kwankwaso will give him problems |
