Sergio Ramos did not let Mohamed Salah out of his sight at the Champions League Draw and UEFA Awards’ ceremony in Monaco on Thursday. Salah was once again seated awkwardly close to Ramos as the two meet for the first time since the infamous challenge that Ramos pulled on Salah at the Champions League final between Real Madrid and Liverpool in May. Salah left the pitch in tears after Ramos dragged him to the ground in the first half of the game. The Real Madrid defender and the Liverpool forward both fell to the ground after which Salah had to be taken off owing to an injury which was later confirmed to be damaged shoulder ligaments. Liverpool supporters are clearly not fans of the Spanish defender especially after he was also accused of causing a concussion on Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius during the same game. Mo Salah has remained quiet about the incident having only revealed that he never replied to Ramos' text message following the incident. ”He sent me a message, but I never told him it was ‘okay.’ Was it a normal challenge? I don’t know,” Salah revealed a few days after the final. s a result, the Egyptian ace missed most of the games including Egypt early fixtures at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. The incident caused massive outrage, particularly among Liverpool fans, and even resulted in fans putting up online petitions demanding FIFA and UEFA to punish Sergio Ramos for his challenge. A petition put up on change.org to have the Real Madrid captain banned also received more than half a million signatures. On Thursday, Sergio Ramos was named the 2017/18 Champions League defender of the season after guiding Real Madrid to a 13th European trophy and the fourth of his career as Real Madrid beat Liverpool 3-1 in the final in May. After receiving the award, Ramos walked back to his seat and tapped the shoulder of Salah who was seated right in front of him.

I can't find the pieces of Twitter....I thought OP said it exploded ... ?  Hate or Love him, it doesn't change the fact that Ramos is leader and a very good defender... 3 Likes |
