THE BIOGRAPHIES OF THE 2019 NIGERIAN PRESIDENTIAL ASPIRANTS

2019 is really going to be a tough one for the presidential aspirants especially the old ones as young leaders are emerging. Most of those contesting for the position of presidency are still in their youthful age, mostly in their 40s, let us see somethings that we really need to know about each and every one of them. They are;

MUHAMMADU BUHARI
Of course, you should expect that I would start with the current president of Nigeria (2015 till date), President Muhammadu Buhari, this is not the first time of him ruling this great nation though, he was once there during the military regime as the Head of States after taking power in a military coup de tat, which started from 31st December, 1983 and ended on the 27th of August, 1985. Let’s take a brief look into his profile.
ACTUAL AND FULL NAME: Rtd. General Muhammadu Buhari

AGE: He is currently 76 years old, born on the 17th of December, 1942.

STATE OF ORIGIN: He is a Fulani man, an Indigene of Daura, Katsina State. His father died when he was aged four and his mother had to take care of him, he is the 23rd child of his deceased father.

FAMILY: Before he was married to Aisha Buhari in the year 1989, he was first married to Safinatu Yusuf, the marriage lasted for 17 years before they divorced (from 1971 to 1988). He had 10 children, although some of them are deceased now; Fatima, Zulaihat, Musa, Hadiza, Safinatu, Halima, Yusuf, Amina, Aisha, Zainab.

EDUCATION: he is a full blooded military man as his education from the very start was military inclined. In 1961, he started Nigerian military training college which is currently the Nigerian Defense Academy. He also did is cadet training after completion from NDA at Mons Officer Cadet School. Then he worked his way, followed the right processes till he became a General, and now he is retired.

FELA DUROTOYE
In the past, when you hear of motivational speakers becoming president, your first guess is America, but the young energetic business consultant and leadership-expert, Fela Durotoye is up and running and ready to conquer this 2019 upcoming election. Let us see a brief about him;
ACTUAL AND FULL NAME: Adetokumbo Oluwafeolami Durotoye, shortened as Fela Durotoye.
AGE: He is currently 47 years Old, born on the 12th of May, 1971.

STATE OF ORIGIN: He is from Ibadan, Oyo State, born to the family of Layiwola Durotoye and Adeline Durotoye.

FAMILY: Fela is married to the popular makeup Artist and lawyer, Tara, who is the founder of the House of Tara international.

EDUCATION: Fela was born into a family where both his father and mother were renowned professors at the university of Ibadan. After he finished his high school at Moremi high school, following the transfer of his parent, he got admitted into Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-ife where he got his bachelor’s degree in both Economics and Computer Science, he proceeded to do his master’s in Business (M.B.A) also at O.A.U. He also had a degree program at Harvard University.

AYO FAYOSE
If you are a Nigerian and you have no idea who Gov. Ayo Fayose is, then you should go and recheck your nationality, it is very possible you missed your way into Nigeria. Ayo Fayose is one very controversial man that is well known. Although he is the real man of his people. Let’s see a little about him.
ACTUAL AND FULL NAME: His full name is Ayodele Peter Fayose

AGE: He is currently 58 years old, born precisely on the 15th of November, 1960.

STATE OF ORIGIN: You should know this by now, but let me just add it here for formalities, he is from Ekiti state.

FAMILY: He is married to Feyisetan Fayose and is blessed with some children.

EDUCATION: Although he is an indigene of Ekiti State, but he grew uo in Ibadan, Oyo state where he attended Baptist High School, also he studied Biological sciences / applied biology at Ibadan Polytechnic.

Rather than wasting away his youth service year, Ayo Fayose decided to engage himself;in productive work at Pepsi Nigeria Limited and also was involved in some other installation, maintenance and servicing of medical laboratory equipment.
He left Nigeria immediately after his youth service which gave him more exposure to the world of business.

KINGSLEY MOGHALU
After he was beaten by Fela Durotoye, he still came out with the claim that he is still going to contest for the presidency post, so let us still get to know him

ACTUAL AND FULL NAME: his names are Kingsley Chinedu Moghalu.

AGE: 55 Years Old BORN 1963.

EDUCATION: He has a degree in law from the University of Nigeria, NNSUKA (LLB Honors) and also B.L from Nigerian Law School, Lagos. He obtained his master’s degree at Fletchers School of Diplomacy, He also obtained his Doctorate degree in International relations from London School of Economics, also LSE (Political Science) at the University of London, He is also an alumnus of the great Harvard University and the university of Pennsylvania.

POSITIONS HELD IN THE PAST AND CURRENTLY
- He was the political affairs officer in the aspect of peace keeping of the united Nations
- He was the head of Global partnership and Resource mobilization at World Health Organization
- He was the former Deputy governor of the central Bank of Nigeria
- He was also given an appointment by the Late United Nations secretary, Kofi Annan
- He is a public speaker
- He is an author

DONALD DUKE
Donald Duke is another man that is well-known to be the former governor of Cross River state, Nigeria for two straight terms (starting 29TH MAY, 1999, to 29TH MAY, 2007)

FULL AND ACTUAL NAME: Donald Duke

AGE: He is currently 57 years old, born on the 30th of September, 1961

State of origin: he is an indigene and the past governor of Cross River.

EDUCATION: Donald Duke obtained his degree in law (LLB) From Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and his BL from Nigerian Law school, Lagos. He also obtained his LLM form the University of Pennsylvania, U.S.A.

ENIOLA OJAJUNI
He is from a royal blood, a descendant of the Mesere family of Ugbo kingdom, Ilaje L.G.A of Ondo State
Who is he? Let’s get to know him

ACTUAL AND FULL NAME: Prince Ojajuni Iniola Joseph

AGE: He is currently 40 years old, born on the 28th of December, 1978.

EDUCATION: He had his primary school education at Ebute Ipare , Ondo State, also studied law at LASU for his first degree and proceeded to Ghana for his business school to study business administration.
Although he is from a royal family, but at a tender age, he helped his mother sell smoked and dried fish which got the Lebanese interested in him because he pitched a great idea to them that can stop the importation of fish.

SULE LAMIDO

NAME: ALHAJI SULE LAMIDO

AGE: he is currently 70 years old, born on the 30th of August, 1948

STATE OF ORIGIN: He is from Jigawa state, the former Governor, and the former foreign minister of Nigeria.

TOPE FASUA

Tope Fasua is a very resourceful man as he takes every opportunity very seriously and this presidential race is not an exception. He is a business man, an economist, an author and the CEO of an international consulting firm in Abuja (Global Analytics consulting limited), he is a member and National chairman of his party (ANRP).

ACTUAL AND FULL NAME: Tope Kolade Fasua

AGE: He is Currently 47 years old, born on the 11th of September, 1971

STATE OF ORIGIN: He was born and raised in Lagos.

EDUCATION: He had his first degree at Ondo state university, where he studied economics and graduated as the best graduating student in his department, in his faculty and the entire school. Afterward he became a chartered accountant

OMOYELE SOWORE
When you hear about Sahara reporters, just think of Sowore, as he is the founder and CEO. he is a degree holder from the university of Lagos and also the University of Columbia.
As of now he is 47 years old.

AHMED BUHARI
AGE: 40 Years Old
He is the CEO of Skylar Incorporation, had his degrees at Cavendish college, London and Fedral University of Technology
