NYSC is a phase every Nigerian graduate must undergo before proceeding to the Labour Market. Especially, graduates who are less than 30 years. As a matter of fact, participation in the National Youth Service Scheme is compulsory for any Nigerian graduate who wishes to work in Nigeria. However, this article will focus on the best CDS groups to join as a corp member.

The community development service (CDS) is one of the cardinal programmes of NYSC. The other three are; Orientation programme, Place of primary assignment and passing out parade.

Sometimes, the CDS you belong to during your service year can develop you professionally. This is why we have come up with this list of 7 best CDS group to join as a corp member.

Nice1 I was a member of dance and drama group.we use our drama to educate , entertain and promote cultural heritage of the state we are serving.banks,companies,ndlea,government agencies etc hired our services.we are the only CDs apart from sport CDs that travels to Abuja for the annual nysc drama and sport national competition.
The exposure is awesome.but it isn't for lazy people

You are one of the NYSC Corp members who never understood what CDS is really about. Read other peoples comment and see what you missed. Where my own Charity? LOL. I will agree with your list alright. Just that these CD groups most time are only effective in capital cities and maybe a few cardinal towns.

Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA)

and I think it's the best. Although, it wasn't listed.

Yeah! It's a good CDS too, but I only listed top 7 remember!

CDS can even be added to your CV as Volunteering work experience, if it's a CDS that's related to your course of study and if they award certificate.

We didn't have the privilege to make our choice then at Ukum LG, Benue state, our LI just scattered us into different cds groups as he was inspired. I got to like my cds group eventually - PET anti HIV AIDS.

l was the cadet-in-chief of the FRSC club. CDS club were l Served 2015 batch A. it's was an awesome time controlling traffic on market days.l most say FRSC club is one of the most engaging and effective CDS club.

To be honest I only attended my CDS twice throughout my service year@2017. Can't even remember my CDS group name.
