First, not every country is a Christian one. There are many places where the name of Jesus does not move anybody. What then would you say? China, Japan, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam etc. Such postulation would not go anywhere.

Second, there is no correlation whatsoever between not knowing Jesus and high rate of depression. Absolutely none. What religion provides is a panacea for the suffering and hardship in "emotional balanced countries".

Third, not everyone is religious. Keep your religion to yourself. Saying Harrysong should know Jesus for his depression to be solved is a false statement because we have religious folks who are depressed (see point two).

Fourth, I reiterate, depression is a mental not spiritual condition. Psychologists not pastors, never minding the initial P

If you're calling people stupid because they believe Jesus can heal, then you're wrong. Because Jesus heals people every time.
I don't know what religion you were born into but if it's Christianity, then you must grow in it, not out of it. Many Christians remain babies and refuse to grow spiritually, which leaves them void and vulnerable.

Some folks can be mentally deranged to some extent. Individual prejudice always sets in when one tries to be apologetic. All the people shouting Jesus Christ cures depression are too blind to understand that depression has nothing to do with spirituality. Anybody either religious or irreligious can be depressed. Some were even pointing to developed countries as having high prevalence of depression lol! US that they mentioned has Christian majority who gave their lives to Christ then why didn't they overcome their state of depression?. This is to tell you that depression is psychological rather than spiritual. Two weeks ago, a pastor committed suicide (due to depression) in US can we say he didn't know Christ?. Please stop showing your high level of ignorance because of religion. It is too damaging..

Fortunately for us, those who have gone before us through this spiritual maturity are kind enough to tell us the process.
If anyone is truly willing to seek God, they'll find Him. Prejudice is when you conclude that God isn't there when you're not ready to avail yourself the opportunity of finding Him.

Jesus is saving those who approach him in truth; those who truly give their lives to him. You're right, being religious doesn't stop you from being depressed, but as Christians, we see it as a calling to come closer to Christ, who heals. Depression can be triggered by a lot of things which may be obvious, but goes beyond the physical. Unfortunately, the line between depression and anxiety is really fine and many people claim to have one when they have the other. A psychologist can tell you how to deal with depression, probably put you on antidepressants, which will finally run their course. Psychologists can talk you out of anxiety without much effort.
But healing depression is erasing the root cause, and Jesus can help to that effect if you come him in truth. The truth is, we are all facing some problems that have spiritual undertone, and I'm apprehensive of the fact that some people are too religious and have the tendency to give all their problems spiritual implication. This behavior, itself, is a spiritual problem.
But Christians are encouraged to grow spiritually so they don't even fret at the sight of any problem.
