'SECURITY ALERT! - MAJOR GENERAL IDRIS ALKALI IS MISSING

A distressing message obtained by CUPS, which was also sent to Nigerian news outlets reads as follows:

“Dear Colleagues, your fervent prayers is requested for the safe return of our dear colleague, Major General Idris Alkali, who has been off contact for the past couple of days, while travelling from Abuja to Bauchi."

"Please disseminate to all Mosques and Churches for prayers. May Almighty God bring him back in good health. Ameen."

According to family sources, Major General Alkali was travelling to Bauchi in his private vehicle. About 72 hour ago, signals from his phone were last detected by the SSS around Jos South. Since then, nothing has been heard from him.

In the meantime, the Army authorities, under the leadership of Lt General Tukur Buratai are not saying anything about the disappearance of Major General Alkali.

Major General Alkali, who hails from Potiskum, Yobe State, was once considered for the position of the Chief of Army Staff.

May the Almighty God save and protect Major General Alkali from any harm. Ameen. May God reveal his whereabouts and expose those who are behind his abduction. Ameen.
