Leadership always begins in the background

Leadership starts in the backside of nowhere. When you look at the life of David, his journey to the palace and to leading Israel into all of her potential begun in the backside of his father's house, in the backwoods of nowhere. Joseph’s journey to leadership started in the backside of a pit far flung from the courts of Egypt's Palace. Gideon’s story began in the threshing winepress in the midst of a rampaging group of herdsmen and warriors from the Midianites who came to disrupt the nation of Israel. It's challenging then to become an inspirator if you haven't come from the background.

You need vision to lead

Without vision, we grope through life like a blind man. We’ll become easy victims to fear, and fear inhibits us from our possibilities. Without vision, we lose our focus and the compounding effect of our energy focused on to what we were purposed to be and do. There is no real leadership where there is no vision, and you cannot lead unless you have a roadmap and a destination that you see clearly.

Without vision, you won't know the why behind the what that you do every day and you won't see yourself nor perceive yourself correctly nor will you perceive your mission in life in the correct way, and as a result, you cheat yourself out of your possibilities. Vision is a powerful thing when you can see where you're headed to, where God wants to take you to, and precisely what you need to do next.

Great leadership cannot be separated from great vision

The world's biggest churches are not pastored by the best preachers; they are pastored by the best leaders or led by the greatest leadership teams because great preaching does not equate to great leadership. If you have a singular vision and you are focused on your that vision, your whole body will be protected, and it will get to its destination. It will reach its desired end, and it will become what you need it to be.

Jesus Christ had concentric circles in his life, and this is important because your grace as a visionary leader has everything to do with the circles in which you move. When you walk in the wrong circles, you might not go very far but change your circles, and you might get to where God needs you to go.

One singular vision defines your vision

Vision is about your circles. Your vision is about who you run with and who is advising you. A man who is surrounded by people who have an infrastructure of wisdom is a successful man. They could not stop Jesus Christ vision because of his circles. You can stop a gladiator, but you can't stop a man with a system. A man or woman with the right system is unstoppable. Your circles reveal your vision, what you spend your time talking with will show your vision.
