Kingdom Heritage School Fees Hike Sparks Protests In Agbor by thoniann(m): 2:53pm On Sep 10, 2018 |
Parents defied the heavy downpour in Agbor, Delta State and stormed Kingdom Heritage Group of Schools to protest the over 70 percent hike in school fees. The primary based education outfit is run by Living Faith Church aka Winners Chapel. Parents complained bitterly about the hike which most said was too exorbitant and draconic considering the prevailing situation in the country. According to Mr. Adimabua Okezie, a parent, he spoke to our correspondents expressed his shock that a missionary school could afford to jack fees abitrarily without considering the numerous economic problems in the country. He wondered the rationale for such increment when civil servants are yet to get the supposedly promised increment in minimum wage. Another parent who chose anonymity complained about the school's incessant hike every new session and probed why the church is acting selfishly against the interests of its members and the public in general. The school management pled with parents to remain peaceful as their agititations would be communicated to the appropriate authorities. They asked parents to remain calm and allow their wards attend classes with the hope that in a week's time, there will be an amicable resolution. www.primenewsnetwork.com
