Members of the Diplomatic community including Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffery Onyeama converged on Abuja on Monday to pay tribute to the late global icon, Kofi Annan who passed on, on August 18 at the age of 80.
The solemn service in Annan’s memory was organized by the United Nations system in Nigeria in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and High Commission of Ghana in Abuja.

One after another, they paid tribute to the celebrated global diplomat and statesman who made remarkable contributions to the world especially in the areas of peace and social development

The remains of the former secretary general of United Nation arrived Accra, Ghana on Monday evening from Geneva, Switzerland and will be buried on Thursday September 13th, 2018 with full military honours and 17-gun salutes.
