6ft 4ins Miazga faced 5ft 6ins Lainez during a confrontation which saw him mock the Mexican’s height.

After the match, USA star said,

“We talked a little smack. It’s part of the game. It’s mental warfare.

“We got in their heads. They got a red card right after it. It took a toll and we won the game.”

However, Lainez said he’s doesn’t feel affected by Miazga’s trolling.

“I wasn’t offended by Miazga. It’s football. Football players are different sizes and have different skill sets. And it is a very common occurrence for players to have conflicts during a football match, so it just part of the game”

The game ended 1-0 in favor of the United States.
