The rules are a little different, especially if you’re going to chat with someone on a regular basis. Text solutions are going to be a bit more complicated, because it can be informal, and sometimes a bit swift. If you’re not sure how to keep a text conversation going, then the following tips and tricks will no doubt help you understand the bigger picture about it. Too often, people gloss over this process, and end up not really knowing how to communication with a significant other, or someone they are trying to date. But here are a few key factors that you’ll want to consider when trying to figure out how to keep a text conversation going.

1. Do Not Respond or Use Acronyms

The first thing that you need to learn about how to keep a text conversation going is that you do not need to respond in shorthand. Too many people do this. So if you want to stand out, don’t do it. That’s right, don’t answer the way other people answer. Even if the person you’re talking to is answering in one word or one acronym, don’t do that. You should spell things out, have full sentences, and use punctuation. They’ll denote you’re different, and will pay off dividends as a result. This is a great way to pursue the proper communication, that’s for sure.

2. Ask Questions That Require Long Answer

The next thing that you should do is simple, ask questions that require a bit of information. Do not focus on just “one” word answer questions. As long as there’s a question pending, you can always cycle back around to it. That way they don’t just leave you hanging.
