The Asia-Pacific region suffered two daily casualties of $126 million each day. The statistics were released in a report presented on September 13, at a conference in the framework of the World Economic Forum on ASEAN held in Hanoi. In 2016, natural disasters cost 0.4% of Gross Domestic Product - GDP of the entire Asia-Pacific region. There are about 11 million 200,000 displaced persons.
