Jman06: But if a lady goes for IVF, she trains d child well, he or she is all grown up and wants to get married. Who will stand as her father during traditional marriage? Cause with white wedding, one can easily get away with it and hire any old man as her dad.. But in traditional marriage, u can't pull such stunts. How do u go about it, as a mother? 1 Like |

victorian:If their father was dead will they not get married? Do orphans not get married? You can easily get someone to represent the father . 1 Like |

Every one needs a father figure in his/her life. No matter how a child comes, he/she must know his father victorian: |

Jman06: They get married, one way or the other. But I feel the baby should know his or her dad, especially if the dad wishes to be part of his or her growing stages in life. I don't support IVF of a stranger sha. It's unfair to the kid or kids. |

Pusyiter: Exactly! Thank God my father was there for me, even though he married many wives. He still played his fatherly role, which I can't forget for many years to come. I almost fell in love with my dad cause he took me almost to everywhere he went to. And he always introduce me to his colleagues, friends, buisness partners as his daughter, as I walk happily next to him. I love my dad . If only women here clamouring to be single mothers than become second wives, know how much it affects a child if the dad is not present in the child's life. I will never deny my children the love and affection of a dad. Especially when he's willing to be there for them. Like i said earlier, the ladies clamouring to be single mums instead don't know what they are saying. 1 Like |

victorian:A child must not know his/her dad provided the mum has all the wherewithal to raise the child. There are countless number of persons who grew up not knowing either their mums or dad, yet they are doing perfectly fine in marriage and in life generally. IVF is ok for a lady who can't find a man to marry but has the money to cater for the child. We all have the right to reproduce. |

I agree with her. There is really nothing wrong in being very close friends with a married man, even if it is a sexual relationship. The way some Nigerian ladies avoid married men, you would think that the man has Leprosy. As my Pastor once said: Nigeria is now a theatre of Pretence, where those living in fornication, are advising gays and lesbians, to stop sinning against God, and where those smoking cigarettes, are advising those smoking Igbo (Indian hemp), to stop it, because of their health. |
