Liepoddd come Biafraudenese come chestbeaters

Travel from Osun to Ondo or just go from anywhere to Ondo , there's army checkpoint where cars can't be two despite it being a double-lane road , Cyclists push their bikes most times and if two vehicles enter each end of the checkpoint, either both drivers are delayed or one is asked to reverse for the other

Seen the same thing going from here to Jebba to Abuja to Niger state , It's normal

But you will always complain

Same in delta state and it has been going on for a long time before 2010. You can't even calls while passing through their check point, if they notice the stop the car and order who ever was making calls to come down and seize the phone.

OP, in case you've never left your Portharcourt before, this is normal everywhere there is checkpoint in Nigeria. And like the poster above said, you can't make or receive calls at checkpoints.

What is the essence of it all, in volatile areas, during an unrest or violent protest i is adopted to ensure that non of the occupants posses a treat to security agents. There is no need implementing battle strategises at peaceful location, or are they on peace keeping missions at the checkpoints
