CIVIL SOCIETY SDGs AWARDS An award for the civil society & social entrepreneurs We are seeing before our very eyes giant leaps in social enterprise advances as inspired groups and individuals converge to make the unthinkable possible. These advances are helping to encourage deeper commitments for sustainable social and societal impact by these organisations. As the dynamics change, Community Agenda for Peace through its programs occupies a pride of place from where we inspire and support groups and individuals to adapt to this rapidly changing landscape of development work. Our fundamental objectives in hosting this event remains simply to: Build huge networks and social partnerships for sustainable development. Recognise and reward development Change makers and social entrepreneurs. CIVIL SOCIETY SDGs AWARDS is presented annually to outstanding development institutions, corporate organisations, NGOs, CSOs and CBOs and individuals with sustainable projects addressing different dimensions of global social and developmental challenges. Winners will be drawn from the following categories: Human Rights | Democracy | Legislative Advocacy | Sustainable Environment | Conservation of Nature | Gender Based Issues | Girl Child Education | Human Trafficking | Youth Development | Good Health | Peace Building and Poverty Alleviation etc For the participants, they can look up to achieving the following objectives: Draw national and international attention to issues of concern to our immediate communities. Gain access to and interact with high level development intuitions and professionals. Develop contact contacts and networks, both at the government and NGO levels. Build local and international alliances, campaigns and advocacies with NGOs working on similar issues. The success and integrity of the awards will rest greatly on our criteria for picking winners, we are therefore looking out for: Organisations/Projects addressing one or more of the SDGs Organisations/Projects advancing the cause of humanity Organisations/Projects that are scalable and sustainable We welcome all implemented projects, no matter how big or small whether by federal, state or local governments, corporate institutions or CSOs, NGOs and CBOs.
