Those Against Gov Abubakar, Enemies Of APC - Group Alleges

Ahead of the 2019 general elections and the ongoing permutations towards the September 28 gubernatorial primary election in Bauchi, group under the auspices of Bauchi APC Youths for Transparency has bemoaned activities of aspirants challenging the incumbent governor, Governor Muhammed Abdullahi Abubakar in the primaries, describing them as adversaries not only of the party but to the state in general.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Comrade Yusuf Usman described those scheming against the second term bid of Governor Abubakar as political hawks working for the opposition PDP to scuttle the chances of the APC in the 2019 general elections.

‘’It is quite sad that the trio of Mohammed Ali Pate, Ibrahim Yakubu Lame, and Capt. Bala Jibrin Rtrd have since inception of this administration been against the success of the Bauchi APC and the government of Governor M.A Abubakar", Usman lamented.

The group further stated that "these other aspirants are only masquerading as true members of the APC while in the actual sense, they have been political bushwhackers working for the PDP and they are now jittery because APC in Bauchi State have endorsed both President Buhari and Governor M.A Abubakar as their sole candidates in the 2019 general elections.’’


It further noted that ‘’when Governor Abubakar assumed the mantle of leadership in the state, virtually none of the sectors of the state economy was working and salaries were not being paid regularly with huge burden of debts and salaries backlog but today under the transparent stewardship of governor Abubakar, everything is now effectively working but those who were denied access to syphoning our treasury have been fighting the governor to massage their selfish egos."

Usman noted that his group will hold out against all their shenanigans in all disguise come 2019.

It would be recalled that, apart from the three PDP aspirants, three people are equally contesting the APC’s gubernatorial primary election with the incumbent Governor Muhammed Abdullahi Abubakar.

The state APC Chapter under the leadership of Uba Ahmed Nana have adopted indirect primary while also endorsing the candidacy of President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Abubakar for the presidential and governorship positions respectively in the 2019 general elections.
